Extremely flammable gas
May react explosively even in the absence of air at elevated pressure and/ or temperature
Contains gas under pressure; may explode if heated
May displace oxygen and cause rapid suffocation
May form explosive mixtures with air
Precautionary Statements
Prevention - Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood
Prevention - Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, hot surfaces -- No smoking
Prevention - Use and store only outdoors or in a well ventilated place
Prevention - Use backflow preventative device in piping
Prevention - Fusible plugs, in top, bottom, or valve melt at 90C to 107C. Do not discharge at pressures above 15psi
Prevention - Close valve after each use and when empty
Response - If Inhaled; remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing get medical attention
Response - Leaking gas fire do not extinguish, unless leak can be stopped safely
Response - Eliminate all ignition sources if safe to do so
Storage - Protect from sunlight when ambient temperature exceeds 52C
Disposal - Dispose of contents/ containers in accordance with container supplier / owner instructor
